Connect Your WooCommerce Store to Botline — AI Knows Your Catalog & Orders
Your AI on WhatsApp can now read your WooCommerce catalog and orders. Customers ask "where's my order?" and get instant answers with status + tracking. No code, no app review, just paste your API key.
Why WooCommerce AI Matters Now
If you run a WordPress store with WooCommerce, you already know what the first 50 customer messages are: "Do you have this in stock?" and "Where's my order?" Both are real questions with real answers buried in your WooCommerce dashboard.
Today most stores answer these by hand. A customer messages on WhatsApp, you log into your WC admin, hunt through orders, reply with the status — repeat 20 times a day. Even worse: if the customer is in a different timezone or you're asleep, they never get an answer.
Botline's WooCommerce integration changes that. Your AI now has direct access to your catalog and order history. A customer asks "where's my order?" on WhatsApp, the AI looks it up by email or phone, and replies instantly with order status, tracking number, and ETA — all from the same conversation they're already in.
What Just Shipped
Starting today, any Botline tenant running WooCommerce (self-hosted or WordPress.com Business+) can connect their store in 4 steps — no developers, no OAuth, no app review.
- What your AI can now do: Answer "where's my order?" by looking up the customer by email or phone. See order status, total, items, and tracking. Recommend products from your live catalog when a customer asks "what do you have for X?"
- What's included: Catalog sync (products + variants + prices + stock), order status lookups, webhook-based live updates, nightly backfill, multi-currency support (USD, EUR, GBP, and local currencies).
- What's NOT in v1 (coming in v2): Writing orders back to WC (order creation via AI), abandoned cart detection, refund/cancellation workflows. For now, it's read-only — customers get instant answers about what they've bought, but the AI can't place new orders yet.
How to Set It Up — 4 Steps
No command line. No servers. No waiting for app review. Just 4 steps inside the Botline dashboard.
- Go to Dashboard → Integrations → WooCommerce → Connect. Paste your store URL (e.g., `https://myshop.com`).
- Generate an API key in your WC admin. Click the button in Botline — it opens a guide link. In your WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API → Add Key. Name it "Botline", give it Read permission, generate. Copy the consumer key and consumer secret.
- Paste the keys back into Botline. Botline validates by hitting your store's REST API — you'll see your store name + WC version on success. It also generates a webhook secret (a random 32-character string) — keep this handy for step 4.
- Configure the webhook in your WC admin. In WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks → Add Webhook, create two webhooks:
- Topic: Order created — Delivery URL: `https://botline.cc/api/woocommerce/webhook?tenant=
` (Botline shows you the exact URL) - Topic: Order updated — same URL
- Topic: Order created — Delivery URL: `https://botline.cc/api/woocommerce/webhook?tenant=
That's it. Your catalog is now syncing (usually takes 30-60 seconds), and the AI has access to it. The next customer who asks "where's my order?" gets an instant answer with order status and tracking — no human intervention required.
What It Looks Like from the Customer Side
Your customer is on WhatsApp. They ask: "Where is my order?"
Your AI (powered by Botline) looks them up by their phone number or email, finds their most recent order, and replies something like:
"Hi Sarah — your order #2847 (Purple Leather Wallet, $39) shipped on April 22. It's on its way via DHL, tracking #1234567890. Expected delivery: April 25. You can track it here: "
Same customer later asks: "Do you have that wallet in blue?"
Your AI checks your live catalog and replies:
"Yes! We have the Blue Leather Wallet in stock for $39. Want me to send you a photo?" They say yes, AI sends the product image. They ask about shipping to Malaysia, the AI quotes the cost, they place an order — all in one WhatsApp thread.
Zero manual work from you. Zero waiting for email replies. The customer gets instant answers, which is what they expect in 2026.
Who This Is For
- WordPress.com stores running WooCommerce (Business plan or above — the Business plan includes WooCommerce).
- Self-hosted WordPress + WooCommerce (any version 4.0+) on your own domain.
- Any sales vertical — retail, dropshipping, digital products, services, subscriptions. If you use WC for order management, this works for you.
- Multi-currency stores — we support USD, EUR, GBP, and all 100+ local currencies that WooCommerce supports.
NOT for: free WordPress.com stores (no plugin support), or WooCommerce Subscriptions (we support them, but you'll need to confirm v4.0+ compatibility separately).
Pricing
WooCommerce integration is included on all paid plans — no extra charge, no per-order fee, no add-on. If you are on a paid plan (Starter, Pro, Enterprise), you get WooCommerce support.
On the Free plan? Upgrade to Starter ($29/month) to unlock integrations.
What's NOT in v1 (and Why)
Being honest about the edges so nobody is surprised:
- No order creation. For v1, the AI can look up orders but not place them. Writing orders back to WooCommerce requires handling payment methods, tax, shipping address validation — we're shipping the read-side first and adding writes in v2 (planned for next quarter).
- No abandoned carts. WooCommerce doesn't expose abandoned carts via REST API, so we can't detect them yet. If a customer goes silent mid-checkout, the AI won't auto-nudge them (our Shopify integration does this).
- No refund/cancellation workflows. Customers can ask the AI to cancel, but for now you handle the refund manually in WC admin. Coming in v2.
- Catalog sync is one-way. We pull from WC to Botline every night (and when you connect), but edits you make in Botline don't flow back to WC. Botline's catalog is a read-only mirror.
Everything else — catalog sync, order lookups, multi-currency support, webhook backfill, the dashboard integration card, and the AI capability — ships today on all paid plans.
