Connect Meta WhatsApp Cloud API to Botline (Pro plan)

Why connect Cloud API?
The Cloud API unlocks Meta-platform features you cannot get on free WhatsApp: broadcasts, templates, buttons, lists, flows, multi-product messages, and authentication templates. Pro tier includes Cloud API at no extra Botline cost — you pay Meta directly for conversation fees on your own Meta payment method.
What you need before you start
- A Meta Business Manager account (5 minutes to create at business.facebook.com).
- A phone number signed out of the WhatsApp Business app.
- Admin access (not employee) to the Business Manager.
The 5-step wizard
From Integrations click "Add Cloud API line". The wizard walks you through:
- Pre-flight checker — three branching yes/no questions; each "no" links to a video and remediation.
- Connect — choose "Sign up with Facebook" (Embedded Signup) or "Paste credentials" (manual fallback).
- Diagnostic ping — Botline runs four health checks against your Meta WABA before saving anything: business verification, phone registration, webhook capability, and payment method.
- Number registration — set your 6-digit two-step verification PIN; we register the number with Meta.
- Hello-world test send — send a Meta-pre-approved hello_world template to a phone you control. If it lands, you are connected.
Migrate an existing Evolution number
If you already use Botline with a free Evolution WhatsApp line and want to upgrade that specific number to Cloud API, click "Upgrade to Cloud API" on the line card. The wizard handles the deregister-from-Business-app step, polls Meta for availability, and re-registers without losing your conversation history.
