What's new
Schools, colleges and universities now have first-class support in the business-type picker. Four new types under the Education / Academia category:
- 🏫 School (K-12) — primary + secondary schools
- 🎓 College (Intermediate / FSc) — Pre-Med, Pre-Eng, ICS, ICom, FA
- 🏛 University — BS / MS / PhD programs
- ⚕ Specialized Institute — medical / engineering / law test-prep + degree institutes
Picking any one of these seeds your account with everything an institution needs to handle admission season:
- 27 Pakistani-tuned admission FAQs covering programs, fees, curriculum (Federal vs Cambridge), entry tests (MDCAT / ECAT / NTS / NUMS), document checklist (CNIC vs B-form), hostel + transport, scholarships, and result lookups.
- 11-item greeting menu: Programs · Admissions · Apply · Fees · Documents · Entry test · Hostel · Result lookup · Fee voucher · Visit · Talk to admissions.
- 5 broadcast templates in Roman Urdu: admission open, merit list published, fee due reminder, result announcement, parent-teacher meeting reminder.
- 5 agent profiles: Admissions Officer, Examination Office, Fee Coordinator, Hostel Coordinator, Payment Verifier.
The killer feature: conversational admission intake
The AI doesn't just answer questions — it captures structured admission applications inside WhatsApp. When a prospective student says "I want to apply", the AI walks them through:
- Program of interest (Pre-Med / Pre-Eng / ICS / ICom / BS-CS / etc.)
- Applicant name + parent name + parent contact
- Previous result (Matric / O-Level / FSc grade)
- CNIC or B-form (under-18) + city + domicile
- Expected term (Fall 2026 / Spring 2027)
- Document upload reminders (CNIC, mark sheet, photos, domicile)
The complete application lands in a new Admissions dashboard with a unique reference number (e.g. ADM-2026-1042). Status flow: received → under_review → entry_test_scheduled → merit_published → accepted → fee_paid → joined. Applicants can check status any time by replying with their reference.
How to enable
- Open /dashboard/onboarding.
- Search "school", "college", or "university". Pick the right type.
- Confirm Pakistan + PKR.
- The orchestrator seeds your starter KB, greeting menu, broadcasts, and agents (3 seconds).
- Step 2 of the wizard collects: institution name, curriculum (Cambridge / Federal / etc.), admission cycle status (open / closed / merit-published), campus address, financing partners (optional).
- Configure programs in Programs page with fees, eligibility, seats.
- Connect WhatsApp at /dashboard/whatsapp via QR scan.
- Click Go Live.
Once live, the Admissions sidebar item appears automatically (only for education-archetype tenants — non-education tenants don't see it).
How to use the Admissions dashboard
Open /dashboard/admissions. The page has:
- Status tabs — All, New, Under Review, Test Scheduled, Merit Published, Accepted, Fee Paid, Joined, Rejected. Each tab shows a counter so you can see your funnel at a glance.
- Search — by applicant name, phone, or reference number.
- Application cards — reference number + status badge + applicant name + program + previous grade + city + applied-date.
- Detail drawer — click any application to open a side drawer with the full applicant profile + admin controls.
In the detail drawer, you can:
- Update status (received → under_review → … → joined).
- Add a status reason / note that's sent to the applicant when status changes.
- Set merit position when merit list publishes.
- Set fee voucher amount when accepted.
- Add internal notes (only visible to admin staff).
- Click WhatsApp to message the applicant directly.
For result-day announcements, use Broadcasts with the seeded edu_result_announcement template — bulk-send to all active enrolments at once.
