How Used Car Dealers in Pakistan Are Handling 200 WhatsApp Inquiries a Day with AI
A second-hand car business with 50 listings on PakWheels gets ~200 WhatsApp pings per day. We measured what happens when an AI handles the first response.
The actual pain
If you sell used cars in Pakistan, your day looks like this: you woke up to 47 unread WhatsApps from PakWheels + OLX leads. By 11 AM you have 80. By 6 PM you have 220. Roughly 90% of them ask the same three questions:
- Is this still available?
- Last price? / Final?
- Mileage kitna hai?
You answer the first ten, miss the next 30 because a serious buyer walked into your showroom, and lose them all by tomorrow because someone else replied faster on PakWheels.
This is what 95% of used-car dealers we talk to describe as their #1 bottleneck. Not the listings. Not the financing. The WhatsApp inquiry overload.
What an AI agent actually does for a used-car business
Botline's used-car vertical is tuned for the specific shape of these conversations. When a customer messages your number, the AI:
- Confirms availability instantly (no buyer waits 4 hours).
- Answers mileage, accident history, papers status, registration city — straight from your listing.
- Handles negotiation gracefully — quotes the listed price first, escalates "last price" requests to you.
- Books test drives or inspections at your showroom timings.
- Collects trade-in details (your old Mehran 2018 with 80k km) and tells the customer you'll quote in 24 hours.
- Refers financing — your loan officer at Meezan Auto Finance / HBL CarLoan / Bank Alfalah.
You only step in when the AI escalates — typically the 10–20% of conversations where the customer is a real, serious buyer ready to inspect or negotiate.
Built for the way Pakistani buyers actually talk
Generic chatbots fail on used-car conversations because the cultural script is specific. The Botline vertical handles:
- Roman Urdu + English code-switching. "Mileage kitna hai? What's the demand?"
- Negotiation phrasing. "Last price?" / "Kya kar lo gay?" — the AI never blurts out a discount; it relays the request to you.
- Papers questions. Token tax due, transfer pending, file clear, custom paid — all distinct states the AI tracks per listing.
- Registration city. Pakistani buyers care about Lahore-registered vs Karachi-registered (transfer cost differs).
- Owner count. "Kitne owners?" — the AI quotes the listing data, doesn't make it up.
- OLX/PakWheels comparison. When a buyer says "this is cheaper on PakWheels," the AI defends your listing with mileage + papers transparency.
Bulk import — don't retype 50 listings
If you already have your stock on PakWheels Pro, OLX, or in an Excel sheet, you don't need to re-enter anything. Botline accepts a CSV with 13 columns (make, model, year, mileage, price, fuel, transmission, color, registration city, owners, accident history, papers status, photo URLs).
One upload → up to 500 vehicles in your inventory. Each becomes a discoverable listing in your AI catalog and on your public dealer page.
- Export from PakWheels Pro → upload to Botline → done.
- Or paste a single PakWheels / OLX / Dubizzle URL → Botline fetches + extracts make / model / year / mileage / price / photos. Review and save.
Your own dealer page
Every Botline tenant gets a public catalog page at your-dealership.botline.cc/cars:
- Filter by make, year range, price band, transmission, fuel.
- Photo carousel per listing (5–10 photos, mobile-swipe).
- "Inquire on WhatsApp" button on every car — opens your number with the listing reference auto-pasted.
- SEO-friendly URLs and Open Graph cards so Facebook + WhatsApp link previews look professional.
You can post the URL anywhere — your social bio, business cards, OLX descriptions, Boom listings — and every click that lands on it becomes a tracked WhatsApp lead.
What it costs and what it doesn't
Botline's used-car vertical is part of the standard Pro plan. There's no per-listing fee, no per-conversation fee on Baileys (your existing WhatsApp number connects via QR scan; no Meta approval needed). If you upgrade to Cloud API for high-volume broadcasts (e.g. announcing new arrivals to 1,000 past inquirers), Meta charges per template message — typically PKR 0.50–2 per message in Pakistan.
What's included in the Pro plan: AI replies, multi-photo listings, the bulk CSV importer, the public catalog page, trade-in valuations, financing partner directory, broadcast templates, lead scoring, and the WhatsApp dashboard for handling escalations.
