WhatsApp Catalog Commerce for Pro+ tenants

Meta multi-product carousels are now a native interactive type in Botline. The AI auto-recommends from your synced Shopify or WooCommerce catalog, you curate themed drops to broadcast, and every tap is tracked. Available on Pro and Enterprise.

What's new

Pro and Enterprise tenants connected to Meta WhatsApp Cloud API can now send multi-product carousels — Meta's native shoppable message type. A customer sees up to 30 product cards inside the chat, each with title, price, image, and a tap-to-view detail sheet. They reply with a product they want to know more about, and the conversation flows naturally back to your AI.

Catalog joins the existing five interactive primitives — Reply Buttons, CTA Buttons, List Pickers, Location Requests, and Contact Cards — to make six native interactive kinds shipped end-to-end on Botline. It's the first one that ties directly into your Shopify or WooCommerce store.

Connect your Meta Catalog once

Open Dashboard → WhatsApp → Catalog. Paste the catalog ID from business.facebook.com → Commerce → Catalogs and Botline validates it has the right vertical (ecommerce) and that your access token has the catalog_management scope. From that point on, every product you sync from Shopify or WooCommerce flows into the same Meta Catalog automatically — no double upload.

AI auto-recommends from your catalog

The responder AI gets a new prompt block listing your active product slugs. When a customer asks "do you have anything for sensitive skin?", the AI emits a <catalog-query>sensitive skin</catalog-query> tag — Botline runs a pgvector semantic search across your synced catalog (Cohere 1024-dim embeddings) and ships the top 3-5 products as a multi-product message. If the AI knows the exact product, it emits <catalog>product-slug</catalog> instead and the carousel goes out verbatim.

Curate a themed drop and broadcast it

The Interactive Library now has a Catalog editor: pick a slug, write a title + body + footer, and drag products in from your synced catalog. Save it as a regular interactive template. Then in the broadcast composer, pick template kind Catalog drop, select your catalog template, choose your audience, and ship. The 4-step composer (Template → Audience → Schedule → Review) is identical to a regular broadcast — same cost preflight, same delivery analytics, same quality-rating guardrails.

Tap analytics + admin spend visibility

Every catalog send tracks delivery, taps per product, and replies per product — visible per broadcast and aggregated across all sends. The admin WA Spend tab now has a Catalog column alongside Marketing, Utility, and Service so superadmins can monitor catalog message spend across the platform. Catalog messages are billed by Meta as marketing-tier conversations.

Catalog Commerce is included on the Pro and Enterprise plans at no upcharge from Botline. You pay Meta directly per Cloud API conversation rate (catalog messages are billed as marketing tier) — Botline takes nothing on top.
